Une enquête improbable entre disco, mytho et Birkenstock
Le premier épisode est centré sur Frank Farian, un allemand aux allures de geek, producteur entre autres de Boney M et Milli Vanilli. Il a donné ses lettres de noblesse, et même prêté sa voix, à l’Euro-disco à la fin des années 70, avant de causer le plus gros scandale de la pop aux Etats-Unis, à peine 10 ans plus tard, avec Milli Vanilli.
Derrière toutes les paillettes se cache un homme avec une approche bien particulière de l’honnêteté et du show business. Au programme aujourd’hui : reprises éhontées, appropriation culturelle et exploitation de jeunes antillais.
